Safety measures during installation of screw air compressor

永磁-英.png

There are many details in the installation process of the air compressor that need to be paid attention to. These details can ensure the smooth installation of the air compressor and also protect the personal safety of the relevant operators to the greatest extent. Safety is overwhelming, safe construction, safe delivery to customers. Below, our engineers will introduce the safety measures that need to be paid attention to during the installation of the screw air compressor.

General top defense measures

1. The operation engineer must follow the safety operation guidelines and comply with all relevant local work safety requirements and regulations.

2. If any of the following instructions do not comply with local regulations. The stricter of the two rules shall prevail.

3. Installation, operation, maintenance and repair work can only be performed by authorized and qualified professionals.

4. The air produced by the air compressor is not considered to have the highest respiration quality. To make the compressed air reach the most respiratory quality. The compressed air must be adequately purified in accordance with local regulations and standards.

5. Before any maintenance, repair, adjustment or any other unconventional inspections, please stop the air compressor, press the emergency stop button, cut off the power supply and reduce the pressure of the air compressor. also. The power isolation switch must be opened and locked.

6. Do not play with compressed air. Please do not let the air touch your skin or direct the airflow towards people.

Do not use compressed air to remove dust from clothes. When using compressed air to clean the equipment, be careful and wear protective glasses.

Precautions during installation

1. Only use appropriate equipment to lift the air compressor in accordance with local safety regulations. Before lifting. Loose parts or rotating parts must be secured safely. It is strictly forbidden to pause or stay in the dangerous area when lifting contents. The acceleration and deceleration of the hoist must be kept within safe limits. You must wear a safety helmet when working at high altitudes or in areas with lifting equipment.

2. Place the air compressor in a cool and clean environment where the air is exhausted. If necessary, install the suction duct. Do not block the air inlet. Measures must be taken to minimize the intake of moisture into the air.

3. Before connecting the pipeline, all blind flanges, screw plugs, caps and desiccant bags must be removed.

4. The size of the air hose must be correct and suitable for use under working pressure. Do not use worn, damaged or old hoses. The dimensions of the branch and connection must be correct. And suitable for use under working pressure.

5. The inhaled air must not contain flammable gases, vapors and particles (such as paint solvents) that can cause internal fire or explosion.

6. Arrange the air inlets to prevent people from inhaling loose clothes worn by operators.

7. Ensure that the exhaust pipe from the air compressor to the rear smelter or air pipe network can expand freely after being heated. And do not approach or come into contact with flammable materials.

8. Do not apply external force to the air outlet valve; the connecting pipe must not be twisted or deformed.

9. If remote control is installed, the air compressor must be clearly marked, indicating: Danger: This air compressor is remotely controlled and may start without warning. Before maintenance or repair, the operator must ensure that the air compressor has been shut down and the isolating switch has been opened and locked. To further ensure safety, the person who turns on the power supply of the remote control air compressor should take adequate precautions to ensure that no one is inspecting or operating the air compressor. Therefore, the corresponding notice should be posted on the starting device.

10. The air-cooled air compressor must be installed in the following way: sufficient air can be obtained, and the exhaust gas will not be recirculated into the air inlet of the air compressor or the air inlet of the air compressor.

11. The electrical connection must comply with local regulations. The air compressor must be grounded and a fuse must be installed in each phase. To prevent short circuits. A lockable power isolation switch must be installed near the air compressor.

12. On an air compressor equipped with an automatic start-stop system or activated a new start function after power failure. A mark must be affixed near the instrument panel, stating "this air compressor may start without warning".

13. In a multi-air compressor system, manual valves must be installed to isolate each air compressor. Do not use check valves (check valves) to isolate the pressure system.

14. Do not disassemble or tamper with the safety devices, protective devices or insulators of the containers on the air compressor. One or more pressure release devices must be used as needed to protect each pressure vessel or auxiliary equipment installed outside the air compressor whose air pressure exceeds the atmospheric pressure.

15. The pipes or other parts whose temperature exceeds 80°C (176°F) and which may be accidentally touched by normal operation personnel must be protected or isolated, and other high-temperature pipes must be clearly marked.

16. For water-cooled air compressors, a safety vessel whose pressure has been set according to the maximum inlet pressure of the quench water must be used to protect the smelting water system installed outside the air compressor.

17. If the ground is not flat or inclined. Please consult the company. You can also refer to the following safety measures: safety measures during operation and safety measures during maintenance. These precautions apply to machining, air or inert gas consumed. For the treatment of any other gas. It is required to follow the additional safety measures that are generally applicable to other applications not included here. Some precautions are universal and cover a wide range of compressor types and equipment; therefore some instructions may not apply to your compressor .
