What is the reason why the exhaust temperature of the air compressor is too high

The various failures of the compressor are often not sudden, but there are certain signs, sometimes appearing in various visions, and sometimes appearing as digital values on the instrumentation. Air compressor exhaust temperature is too high, mainly reflected in these two aspects: air compressor


The exhaust temperature is too high; the operating parts are hot.


Specifically, there are several types of failure phenomena and causes:


1. Failure of the oil cut-off valve


The function of the oil cut-off valve is to ensure that the oil supply to the working chamber of the host is stopped when the machine is stopped, so as to prevent the lubricant from being sprayed out from the air inlet. When the oil cut-off valve cannot be opened, the temperature of the compressor will be rapid after the compressor starts because there is no lubricant to lubricate and cool the machine head and compressed air


Ascending, it will automatically stop in about 1min. Dismantle the temperature plug on the discharge end of the compressor main body, you will find that the plug is dry and free of oil, and there will also be green smoke floating out of the air. At this time, it is necessary to open the access hole at the bottom of the air compressor, remove the oil cut valve, and manually


Toggle the stem gently to see if it can be pushed back and forth and can be easily reset. If it is difficult to toggle or return, the fuel shut-off valve needs to be further disassembled. If there is dirty oil in the valve stem and valve hole, it needs to be sanded with sandpaper until it can slide easily. If the spring


Disassembly or seizure of foreign objects will also affect the movement of the valve stem. At this time, the spring should be replaced or the spring and spring seat should be cleaned.


2. The fan belt of air-cooled compressor is broken and loose


When the belt breaks, the air compressor will automatically stop due to excessive temperature during a period of time. If the belt is too loose, it will slip and make the fan speed too low, which will also affect the cooling effect. At this time, the tightness of the fan belt should be replaced or adjusted. Note at this time


It means that the replacement of the belt should be a whole replacement, not a mix of old and new.


3. Reasons for cooling water of water-cooled compressor


The most common failures of this type are insufficient cooling water, low pressure, and low flow rate. Some companies share the circulating cooling water with compressors and other production equipment, resulting in poor cooling water quality, excessive impurities and calcification, and will be around the cooling water pipe


Scale is formed, which affects the cooling effect.


4. The cooling oil level is too low


The compressor refueling amount can be observed in the display window. It is normal for the oil sight glass to submerge the central red dot in the middle, or the cursor in the green area. It should be noted that when the equipment is stationary and running, the oil level will be different.


5. The radiator is blocked


When the surrounding environment of the air compressor is not good, long-term operation will cause the radiator fins to adhere to a layer of dust, oil stains or wool debris and metal particles, etc., and the internal copper tube is also prone to blockage due to accumulation of oil dirt, which affects heat dissipation effect.


6. Malfunction of the oil and gas separator filter


Oil and gas separators, as the name implies, are devices used to separate gas and oil in compressed air. In the process of using the oil and gas separator filter, the separation layer can contain a certain amount of dust. When the air compressor continuously sucks in air, there are many less than


The 5um dust particles enter the fine separation layer of the oil and gas separator filter element, which will not only reduce the processing flow of the fine separation layer continuously, but also increase the pressure difference of the oil and gas separator filter element. The oil and gas separator filter element reaches 1bar in normal use


When the pressure difference, you need to purge or replace the oil and gas separator filter. Improper use of lubricating oil will also cause the pressure difference of the oil-gas separator filter element to increase.


7. The oil filter is too dirty


When it is too dirty, the oil cannot enter the compressor at a normal flow rate, and the compressor quickly heats up due to insufficient lubrication. When the difference between the inlet and outlet oil exceeds the set value, the filter element needs to be replaced.


8. Poor environmental ventilation and heat dissipation


There are three main situations that affect the heat dissipation of the surrounding environment of the air compressor: too close to the wall type obstacles, which prevents the hot air from being emitted; there are other heat sources near the air compressor, which makes the suction temperature of the compressor too high; the front door of the air compressor during operation And the side door is open,


The fan cannot form a strong airflow; many users will enter a misunderstanding when the equipment is running with high exhaust temperature: it is believed that opening the compressor cover can accelerate ventilation and heat dissipation. In fact, this is an incorrect approach. Compressor manufacturers are designing compression


The appearance and cover of the machine are not only for aesthetics and noise reduction, but also to form a reasonable flow of circulating air to help the equipment dissipate heat. If the casing is removed rashly, it will adversely affect the heat dissipation of the compressor.


Compressor overheating can sometimes be directly reflected through the dashboard and warning lights, but sometimes it needs to be checked by temperature.
